At the RA NA Standing Committees the Discussions on the RA Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2018” Continue

On November 1, the RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan, the RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan took part in the discussions on the Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2018” going on at the RA NA Standing Committees on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.

The sessions were chaired by Hrayr Tovmasyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights and Gagik Minasyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs. The RA Minister of Justice, the RA NA deputies and responsible persons of relevant spheres attended the sessions.

The revenues and expenditures allocated to state authorities and judicial bodies and Human Rights Defender's Staff envisaged by the draft state budget were discussed at the joint session.

In particular, Atom Jnjughazyan mentioned that it is planned to allocate AMD 2 billion 445 million to the RA President’s Staff in 2018, the main part of which will be directed to the staff maintenance. The amount allocated from the state budget to the National Assembly in 2018 will comprise AMD 4 billion 585 million. It is planned to allocate AMD 19.5 billion to the Government of Armenia. It is also planned to implement 33 projects, with some projects being implemented through credit and grant funds.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan subsequently presented the allocations to the RA Constitutional Court, the RA Ministry of Justice, the RA Prosecutor's Office, the RA Control Chamber, the RA Special Investigation Service, the RA Civil Service Council, the RA Central Electoral Commission and the RA Human Rights Defender’s Staff.

Atom Janjughazyan answered all the questions raised by the MPs after his report.

In the course of the session the responsible persons of relevant spheres also made reports. They touched upon the state budget allocations in their spheres and plans for the next year, after which they answered the MPs' questions and listened to their suggestions.
