The Discussions on the RA Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2018” Continue at the Parliament

On November 2, the discussions on the draft state budget for 2018 continued at the joint session of the RA NA Standing Committees on European Integration and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs. The session was attended by the RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan, the RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan (main rapporteur), the RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Karen Nazaryan and responsible persons of relevant spheres.

During the discussions, the allocations envisaged for the sphere of European integration were presented. Atom Janjughazyan mentioned that in the next year it is planned to implement 15 credit and 14 grant programs in the sphere. In particular, credit funds of EUR 30 million will be provided for the financing of specific programs, while EUR 28 million will be allocated for the expenditures of grant programs.

AMD 3 billion 980.2 million of credit funds and AMD 803 million 300 thousand of the RA co-financing will be allocated to the programs implemented with the assistance of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

For the implementation of the "North-South Transport Corridor Development" / Tranche 2/ Project, in 2018 it is envisaged to allocate AMD 11.081.9 million, including credit funds of AMD 9.358.2 and Armenia's co-financing of AMD 1.723.7 million.

For the “North-South Transport Corridor Development” /Tranche 3/ Project, implemented with the support of the European Investment Bank, in 2018, AMD 3,850.3 million will be envisaged, including credit funds of AMD 3,208.6 million and Armenia's co-financing of AMD 641.7 million.

During the meeting, the participants raised questions, explanations were given and suggestions were made.

On the same day, the discussion of the draft law on the state budget for 2018 took place at the joint session of the RA NA Standing Committees on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment, and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs. The session was attended by RA Ministers, governors and MPs.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan presented the financial indicators to be allocated to the spheres discussed. The RA Ministry of Agriculture and the State Service for Food Safety will be allocated a total of AMD 10.9 billion, the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development is planned to allocate AMD 56.3 billion, the RA Ministry of Nature Protection will be allocated AMD 4.9 billion and AMD 43.7 billion will be allocated to the Yerevan Municipality as a subvention.

The discussion of the draft state budget in the NA Standing Committees will continue on November 3.
