Pursuant to the RA Government Decision, AMD 13.5 bln will be provided to the Republic of Artsakh. The Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan noted that AMD 1.2 billion of that amount will be directed to the compensation program of communal expenses of the residents, and AMD 12.2 bln will be allocated as an interstate loan.
“The financial assistance being provided to the Republic of Artsakh by the Government of the Republic of Armenia will be allocated on the basis of Contribution Agreement for financing electricity, gas and communications services for October, as well as various sectors of the economy”, mentioned the RA Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan while presenting the draft at the government sitting, reminding that this is the fourth decision of the same kind: in general in 2020 to date, almost AMD 100 bln of assistance has been transferred to Artsakh.
The draft also envisages the provision of an interstate loan for the repayment of salaries, benefits, pensions, healthcare expenses for October, as well as bonds. The interstate loan is provided to Artsakh Government at an annual interest rate of 0.001%, with a repayment period till January 1, 2025.
