On November 2, the delegation of the RA Ministry of Finance led by the RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan received the delegation of the CIS Regional Representation of “Microsoft” Corporation. The meeting discussed a number of issues on the effective cooperation between the Government of Armenia and the “Microsoft”.
The Armenian party stressed the importance of the progress made in the IT sphere of Armenia and hoped that the collaboration with the “Microsoft” Corporation would promote the further achievements.
The representatives of “Microsoft” Corporation expressed readiness to enhance the level of partnership and to contribute to the process of information technologies development in our country. An agreement was reached according to which the representatives of “Microsoft” Corporation would study the key strategic documents regulating the sphere of public finance management and would make a presentation regarding the possible versions of optimization based on the automation of the main functions deriving from both the results of the study and the strategic documents.
The possible perspective of introduction of a system of public finance management automation was discussed as well, which is applied in numerous advanced countries. Within the framework of the latter, the sides discussed the probability of implementation of a pilot project. The RA First Deputy Minister attached importance to the study of international experience and offered the representatives of “Microsoft” Corporation to organize in Armenia presentations in demo version on public finance management automation system already introduced in other countries.
The parties also touched upon other issues of mutual interest and reached an agreement in terms of implementing joint projects possible in the future.
