Today, on February 10, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia and Yerevan State University. The memorandum was signed by RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan and Rector of Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan.
The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan, Secretary General Karen Sargsyan and other representatives of the Ministry, YSU Vice Rector for Development and Innovation Mikayel Hovhannisyan, representatives of the teaching staff, as well as students of various faculties of the university were attendant of the signing ceremony.
The purpose of the memorandum is to provide young professionals with chances to strengthen their theoretical and practical knowledge. It also aims to improve the connection between the university and the job market, enhance the educational system through joint efforts, and increase the impact of scientific ideas and their outcomes in the state's financial system and fiscal policy implementation.
Speaking about his views on the Ministry of Finance as an attractive workplace, Minister Hovhannisyan expressed hope that the best graduates of YSU will build their careers in the Ministry itself.
After the signing ceremony, an interactive session was held in a question and answer format with students and professors. Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan and Secretary General of the RA Finance Ministry Karen Sargsyan responded to questions and discussed various significant matters pertaining to the practical implementation of the memorandum.
