On February 18, the regular session of the Income Policy Improvement Council was held in online format.
Representatives of the RA Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, State Revenue Committee, representatives of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly, representatives of non-governmental organizations and international consulting organizations included in the council with the right of consultative vote participated in the meeting.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Council, RA Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan emphasized the need to discuss issues related to income policy within the framework of the Council. Citing one of the main principles of the RA government's 2021-2026 program, the minister emphasized that when initiating any change in the tax policy, it is necessary to take into account its impact on the business environment and its competitiveness.
During the session, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented the main objectives of the tax reforms, including the structure of tax revenues and tax expenses, taxation regulations for the development of the capital market, etc.
The participants of the session expressed their willingness to continue the discussions, evaluating the impact of the proposed changes.
