On April 12-14, the 2019 Spring Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund took place in the United States of America, with the participation of Armen Hayrapetyan, RA Deputy Minister of Finance. Armen Hayrapetyan is the Alternate Governor of the Republic of Armenia at the Boards of IMF and WB.
The Spring Meetings give an opportunity to discuss top-level issues such as global economy, international economic development, global financial markets and global financial stability, poverty reduction in developing countries and so on.
Meetings were held with representatives from IMF Dutch-Belgian and WB Dutch constituency group, a number of international investment banks and financial institutions to ensure continued cooperation.
On April 9 and 10, the Human Capital Development Summit was held within the framework of the 2019 Spring Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the WB Group and the IMF, aimed at evaluating the current situation in the social sphere and ways to improve the human capital index.
