The delegation headed by Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan was on a two-day working visit to Georgia. The Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan, representatives of the RA Ministry of Finance and RA State Revenue Committee part of the Delegation.
Tigran Khachatryan had meetings with Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili and Head of Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia Levan Kakava.
During the meeting with Minister of Finance of Georgia, the experience of applying the electronic risk assessment systems, as well as machine-learning or artificial intelligence tools in these systems for the purpose of selecting taxpayers subject to inspection, was highlighted.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest related to customs and tax spheres. The Georgian partners presented the experience of Georgia in terms of three components of the open budget survey: transparency, participation and control of the budget process, the reforms implemented in the spheres of accounting and auditing activities in the private sector, the tax privileges granted to the information technology sector, as well as their approaches to tax policy.
In the scope of the visit a protocol on launching a program arising from the Memorandum “On Exchange of Preliminary Electronic Data on International Transport of Vehicles and Goods between the State Revenue Committee of Armenia and the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia” was signed.
