RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan participated in the 55th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from September 26 to 30 in Manila (Republic of the Philippines) as an Alternate Governor for the Republic of Armenia in the ADB Board of Governors.
As part of the Annual Meeting, the Business session of ADB Governors and a joint meeting with the group of countries including Armenia were held. The global economic situation and recent developments, agenda issues related to ADB policy were discussed, afterwards the representatives of the participating countries made separate speeches (the speech of the head of the Armenian delegation is available at the following link).
Separate meetings were also held with ADB Vice-President Ashok Lavasa, Director General of Central and West Asia Regional Department Eugene Zhukov, Executive Director representing Armenia at ADB Board of Directors Arif Baharudin, and Alternate Director Karen Murray, as well as with representatives of sectoral departments.
During the meetings, the agenda issues of cooperation of the Republic of Armenia with the ADB and the perspectives for further deepening of the partnership were discussed.
