The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Avag Avanesyan, Advisor to the Minister Armen Gevorgyan, Head of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance Sergey Shahnazaryan led today's discussion of the technical task of the electronic procurement system with representatives of the private sector. The discussion was held in cooperation with the Armenian branch of the Center for International Private Entrepreneurship (CIPE).
In their speeches, the representatives of the Ministry of Finance emphasized the most important goal of implementing and executing the project: to create a working tool for the end user that meets the requirements of the state finance management system reform strategy.
During the discussion, the possibilities of the new system were explored, which will help avoid inaccuracies caused by human error, ensure traceability, automate data collection, and provide search engine functionality.
Reference was also made to the problems that arose during the operation of the existing procurement system, which are planned to be addressed through functional changes in order to overcome them. The participants of the discussion made suggestions aimed at eliminating obstacles related to the new work tool in future processes.
