Today, Ori Alaverdyan, Head of the Revenue Policy and Administration Methodology Department of the Ministry of Finance, participated in the presentation of the World Bank's report on Armenia's Second Public Finance Review and the subsequent panel discussion.

The World Bank report complements the findings of the first phase by analyzing the efficiency of the tax system and proposing methods to expand the fiscal space. These methods aim to simultaneously support the implementation of the Government's five-year program and maintain an effective tax system. Building on the studies from the first phase, the report extends its analysis on human capital, with a particular focus on assessing expenditures in the education sector.

During the panel discussion, participants addressed the functionality of the tax system as well as the efficient and targeted allocation of expenditures in the education sector.

The Ministry of Finance highly values the World Bank's ongoing support and collaboration in advancing public finance system reforms in Armenia and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
