On June 26, the Ministry of Finance held a meeting with experts of the Secretariat of the BEPS (Base erosion and profit shifting) program of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
In the course of the meeting, the BEPS experts presented to the RA Ministry of Finance specialists the necessity and specificity of separate measures implemented within the framework of the BEPS program, as well as the general description of the necessary steps and activities conditioned by participation of the Republic of Armenia in the Inclusive Platform on BEPS. The main objective of the Inclusive Framework on BEPS is to encourage the integration of countries into the development of international standards for preventing the avoidance of tax evasion in the international tax relations with equal right to vote, as well as the monitoring of BEPS implementation results in different countries.
