On January 22, the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden Svensson Patrik and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland Pawel Cieplak.

The Minister of Finance thanked for the continuous support provided by the European Union to Armenia in the current conditions for combating the pandemic and post-war recovery, in particular, € 68.63 million budget support on a grant basis was provided only in 2020, at the same time highlighting the importance of EU involvement in the implementation of reforms in Armenia.

Referring to the possibility for the Armenian side to use the EU macro-financial assistance tool, the Minister stressed the importance of the tool not only from the financial point of view, but also from the perspective of considering the opportunity of exchange of knowledge, experience and reforms.

The ambassadors expressed their countries' interest in keeping up the cooperation with Armenia, both bilaterally and multilaterally, in particular in the scope of the Eastern Partnership, inquiring about the current macroeconomic situation in Armenia and further forecasts. The ambassadors also stressed their readiness to assist Armenia in overcoming the consequences of the pandemic and the war.

In the context of cooperation with Armenia, the ambassadors among other spheres stressed the significance of the market economy, investment environment and human resources areas.

The sides also touched upon the possibilities of technical cooperation with the mentioned countries in different spheres, singling out the EU assistance tools in that respect (Twinning, TAIEX).

Following the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to continue cooperation in all possible directions.
