The delegation led by the Minister of Finance continued the meetings within the framework of the 57th ADB Annual Meeting

On May 4, as part of the annual meetings of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tbilisi, Georgia, the delegation from the RA Ministry of Finance attended the plenary meeting of ADB Governors. This year's theme was "From billions to trillions: Fostering Private Sector Development for Climate Change."

At the conclusion of ADB's 57th annual meeting on May 5, Vahe Hovhannisyan, leading the Armenian delegation, delivered a speech during the business session of ADB Governors. He emphasized Armenia's dedication to the ADB 2030 strategy, highlighting its alignment with Armenia's priority policies and programs. Hovhannisyan also underscored the significance of trade routes through the South Caucasus and Central Asia as vital alternatives bridging the East and West amidst escalating geopolitical tensions.

Armenia's commitment to be a part of all regional initiatives that will contribute to the creation of new transport routes, which in turn will allow to increase the geopolitical importance of the South Caucasus and promote the huge growth potential that has not been used due to years of conflicts, has been reaffirmed.

During the visit, the Armenian delegation held several bilateral meetings with ADB officials, including Vice President Yingming Yang and Director General Eugenue Zhukov. They also met with high-ranking representatives from other international organizations like OFID International and the European Investment Bank to discuss ongoing cooperation and key issues.
