The 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) began on May 2 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The meeting, themed "Bridge to the Future," will run until May 5. It focuses on discussing important issues and challenges related to the development of the Asia-Pacific region.
The annual meeting is attended by finance ministers, central bank governors, senior government officials and other representatives from the 68 ADB member countries.
The RA Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan and Deputy Minister Eduard Hakobyan are also participating in the regular annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank. During the visit, the RA delegation meets with high-ranking officials of ADB, as well as delegations of other financial institutions and partner countries.
On May 3, the delegation led by the minister met with ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa. The parties discussed issues related to the current cooperation with Armenia, and also referred to future joint perspective programs.
The meetings will also continue on May 5.
