The Discussions on the RA Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2018” Continue at the RA NA Standing Committees

On October 31, the discussions on the Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2018” continued at the joint session of the RA NA Standing Committees on Economic Affairs and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs. The discussions were attended by the RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan, the RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan (main rapporteur), RA ministers, RA NA deputies and responsible persons of relevant spheres.  

The discussions launched with the reports on financial allocations envisaged by the draft state budget of the next year for the spheres of revenues and expenditures, industry, transport and communication, energy and natural resources; tariff policy, economic competitiveness defense, cadastre commission, spheres of urban development and water economy.

Atom Janjughazyan informed that in 2018 it is planned to have a revenue level of AMD 1 trillion 307 billion. He presented the financial allocations for the above-mentioned spheres. In particular, the RA Ministry of Economic Development and Investments is envisaged to be allocated with AMD 3 billion 22 million to implement 16 programs; the Ministry of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources - AMD 87.1 billion in the next year; the RA Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies will be allocated with AMD 52.6 billion in 2018; the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission – AMD 810.4 billion; the RA Economic Competitiveness Defense Commission – AMD 313.3 billion.

AMD 3.7 billion will be allocated to the State Committee of Real Property Cadastre of the Government of the Republic of Armenia; AMD 3.8 billion – to the Urban Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Armenia; AMD 37.4 million – to the State Committee of Water Economy of the RA Ministry of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources.

After the report, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance answered the various questions raised.

The responsible officials of relevant spheres touched upon the programs to be implemented in those spheres and their policy, presented the indicators of nine months of the current year, and answered the deputies’ questions.

The discussions on the Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2018” at the joint session of the RA NA Standing Committees will continue on November 1.
