Today, on September 26, Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan received Olivier Decottignies the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of France to Armenia.
At the outset of the meeting, Minister Hovhannisyan extended congratulations to the ambassador on his appointment, expressing sincere wishes for success and a productive tenure in fulfilling his diplomatic mission.
The minister conveyed to the ambassador his gratitude to the French government for initiating a session of the United Nations Security Council on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Additionally, he highly appreciated the ongoing support of the French side for Armenia and Artsakh.
The parties highly appreciated the high level of the current relations formed, highlighting joint efforts aimed at the development of cooperation between the two countries in different directions, particularly in the water sector, communications, energy and other fields. Notably, the cooperation in the field of budgetary support was underscored.
Details and prospects of cooperation in trade development, investments, infrastructure development and other directions of mutual interest were discussed.
