From July 7 to 9, in Moscow, the delegation headed by the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan participated in the discussions within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the Ministries of Finance of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation in the direction of improving the system of macroeconomic forecasts of the RA Ministry of Finance.
The visit was organized between the RA and RF Finance Ministries within the framework of the "Development of the system of macroeconomic and budgetary forecasts of the Republic of Armenia" direction envisaged by the 2024 events program of the bilateral agreement for 2023-2025. During the latter, the delegation participated in the discussions of the summary results of the work done in the direction of tax revenue forecasting, as well as the improvement of the toolkit for forecasting the indicators of the real sector of the economy.
During the discussions, the following issues were addressed:
- the course of the programs operating in the framework of bilateral cooperation,
- current results of the project "Development of the system of macroeconomic and budgetary forecasts of the Republic of Armenia",
- the model system currently used for real sector forecasts in the RA Ministry of Finance,
- The semi-structural macroeconomic model developed by the Research Center of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the implementation of forecasts through it,
- the system of fiscal forecasts and risk assessment in the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation,
- within the framework of cooperation, the development of a new toolkit for the assessment of fiscal risks of a macroeconomic nature.
