On July 5, in Moscow, the delegation led by the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan participated in the strategic meeting of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (hereinafter referred to as EFSD, the Fund).
One of the key agenda items of the EFSD strategic meeting was the revision of the strategies of the Fund and member countries in accordance with the new realities in the face of the change in the global macroeconomic situation. Reference was also made to the ways of solving existing economic problems and facing challenges.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the results of the interim evaluation of the Fund's strategy, and presented the approaches to its transformation.
In the context of the current global changes, an agreement was reached for the strategic period of 2025-2026 to review both the Fund's and the countries’ strategies, which will provide an opportunity to best support the economies of the participating states. Deputy Minister Eduard Hakobyan presented the proposals of the Armenian side regarding the review of both the Fund and Armenia's strategy.
Within the framework of the meeting, the transformation process of the Fund as a separate international organization was also discussed, taking into account that the latter's statutory documents have already been signed by the participating states and are currently in the process of coming into force.
