Pursuant to the RA Government decision, AMD 13.4 billion will be provided to the Republic of Artsakh. The Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan noted that AMD 1.2 billion of that amount will be directed to the compensation program of communal expenses of the residents, and AMD 12.2 billion will be allocated as an interstate loan.
“Despite the fact that the economic life in Artsakh is gradually recovering, the tax revenues of the Artsakh State Budget are increasing, they are still not enough to fully finance the vital social and economic programs”, mentioned the RA Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan while presenting the draft at the government sitting, reminding that this is the third decision of this kind.
The interstate loan is provided to Artsakh Government at an annual interest rate of 0.001%, with a repayment period till January 1, 2025. The financial assistance provided by the Government of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Artsakh is intended for financing salaries, benefits, pensions, healthcare expenditures, as well as for financing the population's electricity and gas supply services for September.
