Today, the RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan received Mehdi Raisi, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) permanent representative in Armenia, on the occasion of completing his work mission in the country. During the meeting, they also welcomed Umang Rawat, who will replace Mehdi Raisi as the new IMF permanent representative in Armenia. Deputy Ministers of Finance were also present at the meeting.
Minister Hovhannisyan expressed his gratiyude to Mr. Raisi for his effective work and close cooperation in our country. The Minister emphasized the many years of collaboration with the International Monetary Fund and the consistent support provided by the IMF for reforms in the economic sector.
Congratulating Umang Rawat on his appointment, Vahe Hovhannisyan expressed confidence that the work with the newly appointed permanent representative of the IMF will continue in the same efficient manner.
Umang Rawat thanked for the warm welcome and expressed willingness to continue the fruitful cooperation that has become a tradition.
