Today, the RA Minister of Finance, Vahe Hovhannisyan, held a meeting with a delegation led by Elisabetta Falcetti, the newly appointed Managing Director for Turkiye and the Caucasus at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Minister Hovhannisyan congratulated Regional Managing Director Elisabetta Falcetti and Armenia’s representative in the EBRD Board of Directors, Rene van Hell, on the commencement of their terms.
During the meeting, the parties first praised the high-level organization of the EBRD Annual Meeting held in Armenia in May of this year. Subsequently, they discussed the draft EBRD strategy for Armenia for the years 2025-2030, including its priority directions, the progress of the Sisian-Kajaran road section of the North-South Road Corridor construction project, and other projects financed by the EBRD. The discussion also touched upon support for private sector development and the prospects for further cooperation in the energy and water sectors. Minister Hovhannisyan emphasized the importance of Armenia's active involvement in regional transport initiatives.
Minister Hovhannisyan underlined that the EBRD has been a reliable partner of Armenia for decades and expressed hope that the effective cooperation will continue and be further strengthened in the future.
