Today, the RA Minister of Finance, Vahe Hovhannisyan, held a meeting with a delegation led by Teresa Czerwińska, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB).
During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the current level of cooperation and discussed the progress of programs financed by the EIB in Armenia's transport, energy, water, and other infrastructure sectors, as well as prospects for further collaboration. Special emphasis was placed on the Sisian-Kajaran road construction project and the EIB’s participation in its financing.
Teresa Czerwińska reaffirmed the EIB's commitment, as the European Union’s bank, to expand cooperation with Armenia in the framework of the Government’s priority programs.
Considering the new cycle of infrastructure programs financed by the EIB, the parties also discussed the potential establishment of an EIB office in Armenia.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue joint efforts to expand and enhance cooperation.
