On May 24, Armenia and EBRD signed the "Second Green, Resilient and Inclusive Development Policy Operation" budget support financing agreement. On the Armenian side, it was signed by the RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan, and on the WB side, by Carolin Geginat, World Bank Country Manager for Armenia.
According to the agreement, it is planned to provide Armenia with a loan worth €92,300,000 and a grant in the amount of $16,000,000 from the "Global Concessional Financing Facility".
The program includes the following directions: promoting climate change mitigation and adaptation and improving the regulatory framework for environmental management, strengthening equality and promoting human capital development, strengthening the anti-corruption framework and the effectiveness of the justice sector. It also supports the more than 100,000 people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh in solving the urgent problems.
