Today Tigran Khachatryan received a delegation led by Christine Weigand, Acting UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia, UNICEF Representative in Armenia.
Minister Khachatryan presented to the guests the program of the RA Government for 2022-2026 and stressed that the priority for the government are programs aimed at the special needs of children, aimed at education, healthcare, social support and protection.
Great importance is attached to issues related to the field of education, preschool and school programs, and improvement of the educational environment.
For her part, Christine Weigand underscored the Armenian government's commitment to public expenditure and budgetary allocations for children.
Ms. Weigand presented the recently published UNICEF report ''Where are children in the state budget? ''.
At the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the transparency and accountability of public finances related to children's rights.
