Today, on February 10, The RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan received H.E. Mr. John Gallagher, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia.
Welcoming the guests, Vahe Hovhannisyan thanked the British side for their willingness for supporting Armenia. The current economic situation, existing problems and challenges were presented by the minister to the ambassador.
Ambassador Gallagher congratulated Vahe Hovhannisyan on his position as the Minister of Finance, mentioned that it is important for him insurance the continuity of cooperation. The ambassador highly appreciated efforts of Armenia to create a favorable, predictable and stable environment for foreign investors.
Referring to sectoral cooperation, the parties spoke about the importance of the British government's continued support in the formation of the institutional environment in Armenia, particularly the importance of exchanging experience for the purpose of improving the budget process.
During the meeting, the opportunities for expanding cooperation were marked by both sides, as well as an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue on the issues on the agenda.
