On April 12, within the framework of the 2023 spring meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, the representatives of the Armenian delegation had meetings with Iva Petrova, the Head of the IMF mission in Armenia, Jihad Azour, the Director of the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department, and Paul Hilbers, the Executive Director representing Armenia in the IMF's Executive Board.
During the meetings, the parties exchanged thoughts on the latest global and regional economic developments, discussed Armenia's economic prospects in the context of current global challenges.
The interlocutors also touched upon the implementation of the IMF Stand-by Arrangement and the reforms the Armenian government is implementing.
The members of the Armenian delegation had a meeting also with the representatives of Moody's International Rating Agency, during which the current macroeconomic situation in Armenia and the recent developments in the economy were discussed.
