On January 10, a regular session of the Expanded Public Council of Revenue Policy Improvement created by the decree of the Minister of Finance was held at the RA Ministry of Finance. The participants of the session were representatives from the RA Ministry of Finance, NGOs and famous international consulting organizations involved in the Council with advisory capacity.
During the session, the amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia in 2017 were presented; the problems arising from the change of passenger service tax system, as well as the issues on the exemption of import of certain types of raw materials used in pipe production from the VAT and on the expediency of the review of joint activities taxation mechanisms were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to continue the discussion of the issues on the agenda in a working order and afterwards to submit proposals for the solution to the problems for the next discussion of the Council.
