On September 6, the RA Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan received the delegation led by the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Sebastian Molineus and the Country Manager of the World Bank for Armenia Carolin Geginat.
Welcoming the guests, the Minister highlighted the effective cooperation with the World Bank and reaffirmed the RA Government commitment to strengthen and expand cooperation.
In his turn, the World Bank Regional Director congratulated Tigran Khachatryan on his appointment and wished him productive work. Mr. Molineus stressed that Armenia is a reliable partner of the World Bank and is one of the top countries in terms of loan portfolio performance. He assured that the World Bank will continue to support the RA Government in the implementation of reforms and reach a higher level of partnership.
During the meeting the both sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the process and perspectives of the RA Government and the World Bank cooperation. In particular, they referred to the priorities and current programs of the World Bank strategy with the Republic of Armenia, aimed at improving the public sector, public finance management, as well as tax and customs administration.
