On June 6, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan, Head of Public Debt Management Department Samvel Khanvelyan and the Armenian Central Bank Deputy Govermor Armen Nurbekyan participated "JP Morgan Frontier Markets Fixed Income Conference" in London and conducted a non-transactional awareness campaign.
During the conference, both individual and group meetings were held with representatives of 27 of the largest asset managers and investment companies operating in the international capital market. Additionally, a separate panel discussion dedicated to Armenia, involving a broader group of investors, was arranged.
During the panel discussion and separate meetings, the current economic developments of Armenia and their perspective, the reforms implemented by the state, fiscal, debt and monetary policies and the possibility of participating in the domestic debt monetary market were presented. The majority of investment companies held a favorable view of Armenia and its economic policies.
Meetings with investors are essential for strengthening Armenia's position in the international capital market and increasing the involvement of non-resident institutional investors in government bonds and securities.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation also met with representatives of the Bloomberg agency and discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation.
