Atom Janjughazyan Received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia

On June 26, the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan received Jun Yamada, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting the parties discussed the possible directions of cooperation between the two countries. Minister Janjughazyan presented to the Ambassador the priorities and reform agenda outlined in the Government program. Ambassador Yamada, in his turn, drew parallels between the two countries in terms of the pension system and ensuring social welfare and noted that experience exchange might contribute to the implementation of more targeted and effective processes in these areas.

Janjughazyan and Yamada also touched upon the “Project for the Improvement of Equipment for Restoration and Conservation of Archaeological Artifacts for the Scientific-Research Center of the Historical and Cultural Heritage” Grant Agreement signed between the Republic of Armenia and Japan and the “Project for Establishing the IT Vocational Center in Ghukasavan Village” within the framework of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects.
