On March 14, the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan received the delegation led by Cyril Muller, World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia.
Atom Janjughazyan highly appreciated effective bilateral cooperation and mentioned that the content and the expected results of the joint programs are important.
Cyril Muller informed that in the near future the WB Executive Board will discuss opportunities for implementing the “Country Partnership Framework” program and the 2019-2023 Strategy within its frameworks. He noted that the key directions for cooperation are in line with the priorities of the Government Program.
The WB representative emphasized that last year Armenia recorded good fiscal results and in this context there are positive prerequisites for economic development and withstanding possible external shocks.
During the meeting the parties also touched upon the changes in the tax system, the work on creation of favourable investment environment, as well as current and forthcoming programs with the WB.
