The delegation from the RA Ministry of Finance continued its meetings with international partners in Washington

Last week, as part of the spring meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), the delegation led by the Minister of Finance of RA continued its meetings with international partners.

Effective discussions were held with high-ranking representatives including WB Vice President Antonella Bassani, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso, Director of the IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department Jihad Azour, officials from the IMF Fiscal Affairs Department, European Investment Bank, US Treasury, and International Finance Corporation. The meetings covered a broad agenda of cooperation.

The Human Capital Ministerial Meeting, focusing on artificial intelligence, digital solutions, and technologies in human capital, was attended by the delegation of the RA Ministry of Finance. Additionally, they participated in joint meetings with ministers and managers from the Partnership Group covering Armenia and the IMF's Caucasus and Central Asia region. Minister Hovhannisyan addressed the last meeting, discussing current economic developments and prospects in RA.

On a bilateral platform, the Ministry of Finance delegation held meetings with delegations from the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Slovenia. Discussions focused on activating and expanding current cooperation. The upcoming annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Yerevan was also a topic of discussion. The Armenian side reaffirmed invitations for annual participation addressed to relevant representatives of partner countries.

Meetings with Armenian partners and investors in the international capital market were an important part of the agenda of the Ministry of Finance delegation. Separate discussions were held with the “J.P. Morgan”, “Citi”, “Morgan Stanley” representatives, during which reference was made to the economic situation of RA and issues of future cooperation.
