On January 17, being on a two-day visit to Vienna at the invitation of the Euromoney Central and Eastern European Forum, the RA Minister of Finance, the Chairman of the Armenian side of the Armenian-Austrian Bilateral Intergovernmental Mixed Commission for External Trade and Economic Relations Vardan Aramyan met with Bernadette Gerlinger, the Austrian Deputy Federal Minister for Digital, Business and Enterprise, the Chairman of the Austrian Commission. From the Armenian side the meeting was also attended by Armenian Ambassador Arman Kirakosyan.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on preparations for the upcoming eighth meeting of the Armenian-Austrian cooperation. It was also discussed the execution process of the arrangements reached during the seventh meeting of the Commission in April 2016 in Vienna; information on the sectoral level; the ways to share experiences and best fulfill the obligations of the parties.
Within the framework of the Euromoney Central and Eastern European Forum, the RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan met with investors and representatives of financial organizations as well. During the meeting, the Minister presented the latest macroeconomic developments and further forecasts for Armenia. He also answered the questions of the meeting participants.
