In the framework of the RA Prime Minister's recommendation to continuously improve the procurement system, on the initiative of RA Deputy Minister of Finance Avag Avanesyan and the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry, a working meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance with the participation of representatives of interested state bodies, “National Body for Standards and Metrology” CJSC and “National Center for Public Policy Research” NGO. Problems related to the implementation of "green procurement" and the supply of low-quality goods conditioned by the current standards, as well as issues related to initiating a process of reviewing the standards were discussed at the meeting.
During the discussion, an agreement was reached on continuing and coordinating further activities: for organizing the mentioned process the state bodies will submit proposals to the responsible body to discuss them by the latter and include in the 2022 draft state program.
