The Execution of the State Budget for 2019 was Approved by the National Assembly

On June 26, at the extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly, the Parliament approved the annual report on the execution of the RA state budget for 2019.

It should be reminded that the document was discussed in detail in the standing committees of the National Assembly.

Presenting the main indicators of the annual report, the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan noted that in 2019 the economic development proceeded at a faster pace than in the previous year. Real GDP grew by 7.6 percent, which is higher than last year.

Touching upon the budget revenues, the Minister emphasized that AMD 1.565.5 billion of revenue was transferred to the RA state budget in 2019, ensuring 97.3 percent execution of the program adjusted by the Government.

The annual adjusted program of RA state budget expenditures amounted to AMD 1,762.9 billion, for which the actual expenditures amounted to AMD 1,629.4 billion. The annual adjusted program of state budget expenditures was implemented by 92.4 percent, and 47.5 percent of the total amount of deviations fell to current expenditures, 52.5 percent - to transactions with non-financial assets. The state budget was executed with a deficit of AMD 63.9 billion, making 41.6 percent of the planned index.

In 2019, 12-month inflation was 0.7 percent, mainly due to low inflation in some imported goods, as well as lower prices for some agricultural products.

Referring to the state debt, the Minister said that it amounts to USD 7 billion 324 million. At the same time, according to A. Janjughazyan, Armenia is on the list of countries with a lower debt burden, the debt is completely manageable.
