Today, the RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan had a working discussion with the delegation led by the acting permanent representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Armenia, Konstantin Sokulsky. Representatives of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) were also present at the meeting.
Welcoming the guests, Minister Hovhannisyan emphasized that the Government in its 2021-2026 emphasizes the harmonization of environmental protection, economic development and social protection with the program, and in this context highly appreciated the need to implement the "Reducing the risks of investments aimed at the energy-efficient modernization of buildings" UNDP-CPC program.
Minister Hovhannisyan highlighted the importance of extending the project period by 36 months and reaffirmed the government's unwavering commitment to actively collaborate in achieving the project's objectives.
Both parties emphasized the project's significance, given its objectives of energy conservation, enhancing energy independence, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, all in alignment with the goals established by the UN and the RA government's program.
