The RA Government Approved the Draft Submitted by the Minister of Finance

On January 11, the RA Government approved the program of alienation of state reserves of precious metals and gemstones for 2018-2021 by the “State Treasury of Precious Metals and Precious Stones” Agency of the Staff of the RA Ministry of Finance.

According to the sale schedule of non-liquid items subject to alienation through public auctions, alienation will start in the first quarter of this year.

The items of state reserves made of precious metals and gemstones lose their relevance and value over the years. In order to make the management effective, sale of non-liquid assets of state treasury from state reserves is realized through public auctions.

With the adoption of the draft decision, the revenues will be increased in the state budget.

Through public auctions, precious stones will be sold at a price not less than the market price. 4712 pieces of artificial stones, 1177 grams of artificial stones, 256.3 carats of emeralds, 3575.76 carats of diamonds, a total of more than 100 kilograms of silver and gold jewellery, etc. will be sold from the reserves. The minimal value of those listed at market prices is over AMD 1 billion 533 million.
