On May 15, the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the RA Ministry of Finance and introduced the newly appointed Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan to the staff of the Ministry.
The Prime Minister thanked the former Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan, pointing out that the information presented to him on the day of his appointment as the Prime Minister by Vardan Aramyan and Atom Janjughazyan about the state budget revenue collection and payment of salaries at the right time was the most enjoyable and important to him since it proved that the system continued its work, regardless of the peculiarities of the internal political situation.
Nikol Pashinyan noted that there is no need to present Atom Janjughazyan to the Ministry staff as he had been working for many years in the Ministry of Finance and had an important role in the establishment and development of the Ministry.
“In this case, the decision to appoint the Minister has been made taking into consideration the priority of ensuring the process of already initiated reforms that are of great importance to the state and system sustainability. In the near future, we have the task of presenting the RA state budget performance report 2017, the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, as well as the rather heavy and responsible works of the 2019 state budget drafting should start. I am convinced that Mr. Janjughazyan will be able to accomplish all this at the proper level”,- said Prime Minister Pashinyan, wishing success to former Minister Vardan Aramyan and underlining his important role in the RA public finance management.
Former Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan thanked the Prime Minister for the words of appreciation, as well as the staff of the Ministry of Finance for joint and fruitful work. Aramyan expressed willingness to assist the Ministry in the implementation of the programs with his professional skills and assured that the team of the Ministry of Finance headed by Atom Janjughazyan will continue its work with the same diligence and dedication.
The newly appointed Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan thanked the Head of Government for entrusting the responsible position of Finance Minister to him and stressed that all the programs initiated by the RA Ministry of Finance will be brought to their logical end. Atom Janjughazyan assured that the RA Ministry of Finance will do its utmost to sustain and develop Armenia's economic stability.
