From June 3 to 5, the RA Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan participated in the regular meeting of the steering committee of the "Global Preferential Financing Instrument Fund" in Chisinau (Republic of Moldova).
During the session, Vahe Hovhannisyan presented the results of the assistance efforts for forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh and outlined further plans.
Armenia became a beneficiary of the Fund on December 11, 2023. To receive the first support from the Fund, on May 24, 2024, the " Second Green, Resilient and Inclusive Development Policy Operation " financing agreement was signed. Within the framework, Armenia was provided with a support grant of $16 million to provide more effective and targeted solutions for the problems faced by forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh.
As a result of continuous cooperation with the foundation, it is planned to implement other projects as well.
